Note from Editor
1. Interest Rate 7.6 % per annum, yearly compounded.
2. Minimum deposit of 1000 and maximum of 1,50,000 can be made in a financial
year.
3. A legal/natural guardian can open an account in the name of girl child.
4. Maximum two accounts can be opened by the guardian , applicable for two girls.
5. This account can be opened upto 10 years from the date of birth.
6. In case the min deposit of 1,000 Rs is not made in the financial year , then
the account will become discontinued and can be opened by giving a fine of
50 /- per year , with minimum account required for deposit that year.
7. Partial withdrawl upto 50 % , can be taken after a/c holder attaining the age
of 18.
8. Account can be closed after the completion of 21 yrs.
9. In case the account is not closed , then interest will be provided as specified
for the scheme.
10. Premature closure is provided , when the girl attains the age of 18 yrs / girl
is married.
